Lebowski’s is a brand new comedy bar in Antwerp. On a regular base, you will be able to see international comedians, bringing some new English spoken comedy to Antwerp during our English Comedy Nights. For this 4th edition, we invited Alfie Brown and Daliso Chaponda to share some of their top-notch stand up with you.
Alfie’s firebrand style of comedy has been forged from years of pushing boundaries (even though he’s still pretty young) and experimentation. Natural stage presence combined with explosive material makes for a thrilling performance every time he hits the stage. And this will undoubtedly be the case in Lebowski’s as well! His material touches on introspective thoughts and considerations of the human condition as well as broader observations on social-political issues. All done in a accessible and hilarious way. The future is looking bright for this phenomenal young talent.
After winning his spurs in the Canadian comedy-scene with a grand finale at the Just for Laughs Festival, Daliso Chaponda moved to England to take his career to an even higher level. Soon gigs all over Europe and Africa started lining up and things are still moving fast. When Daliso is not doing stand up or MC’ing on stages across the globe, he writes fiction and quite prolifically so. His awarded science fiction, murder mysteries and fantasy fiction made it into numerous anthologies and magazines. Make sure not to miss this one in his still most natural environment: a cosy comedy club.
